We regularly undertake meaningful initiatives which help in enriching the lives of the marginalized community in meeting their current needs and also prepare the future generation to meet their needs in the future by running sustainable programs.

With a development approach, Team Hero befriends communities around our areas of operations and assist them in all possible ways, starting from taking care of the fundamental healthcare facilities and basic infrastructure needs like access to power and water. We through our partners also engage in programmes focused at making rural women self-reliant, improve their wages, and fulfil their dream of becoming entrepreneurs.
Four Mobile Medical Vans in Delhi, Dharuhera in Haryana, Neemrana in Rajasthan and Halol in Gujarat and 1 Mobile Eye Check-up Van in Delhi are benefitting more than a 1.5 lakh people by providing medical assistance, basic treatment as well as medication. Another initiative focused at eye care is a Satellite Vision center which was set up with a support from AIIMS, Delhi at village Malpura near our Dharuhera unit. The center is accessible to over 30 villages in the vicinity. In far off areas, we continue to conduct eye care camps and cataract surgeries. More than 3,000 people benefitted from the same.
Additionally, preventive health check-up camps were organized for over 10,000 students in 38 government schools. Adolescence education for girls and yoga for a health body and mind are also a part of this project, also we regularly support winter night rescue van at Delhi.
With consolidation of almost all major activities from our flagship programme at Gujar Ghatal, a rural village in Rewari district of Haryana, our CSR efforts have ensured that the village is on its way to becoming a prototype of a model village and a smart village.
Our positive interventions in education, healthcare, environment and skilling of the inhabitants are mutually reinforcing and creating an ecosystem for a village that can become a trailblazer in the near future.
30 Self Help group constituted in villages are giving 354 women an understanding about financial management and provided incubation support in setting up their own enterprise.
Realizing that sports not only play's an integral role in overall personality development of youth, it can also bring about prosperity and help in uplifting the socio-economic stature of the entire community, and of course contribute towards achievement of SDGs, Hero MotoCorp has included sports as an essential component of its community focused CSR initiatives.
Titled Khelo Hero, the project's primary objectives include a) increased access to sports facilities and training, b) Promotion of sports culture among youth and c) Support and development for talented sportspersons.
Until the last FY, we had developed sports infrastructure in more than 50 schools, supported 1,924 athletes including Paralympic athletes, footballers, swimmers, bodybuilders and extended support to amateur boxers training under legendry Mary Kom as well as supported state-level sports promotion initiatives such as Khel Mahakumbh in Uttarakhand.
We have extended additional support to para athletes, this effort of our's has resulted in transformation of performance of athletes, to an extent that our country has seen one of it's largest-ever medal haul at Rio Paralympics 2016, World Para Athletics Championships London 2017, and the Asian Youth Para Games 2017 in Dubai.
Community is constantly facing the brunt of natural calamities like floods, droughts, cyclones and earthquake, which is not only causing enormous economic loss but also loss of lives of ordinary people.
We have always supported the relief and rescue operation of our fellow people on proactive basis, as a responsible corporate citizen of country. More than 41,000 people belonging to Kerala and Chennai were provided relief material who suffered heavily due to devastating floods, caused great deal of destruction.
Monetary support was also provided to Chief Minister's Relief Fund to help state government with rescue operations.
