Project Sakhi Gorakhpur

As part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Hero MotoCorp, 100 Hero scooters – Destini 125 & Maestro Edge 125 - were presented to the women police officers of Gorakhpur Police Department.

Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, flagged off a rally of women police officers riding these 100 Hero scooters.

Equipped with the GPS system, sirens, flashlights, public announcement (PA)  systems, pepper spray and other essential police accessories, the scooters will help women cops who are a part of special "Sherni Dasta" squad, to perform patrolling duties more effectively.
